Rating 6/6 : Brilliant Classy Show a MUST! Exmouth Pavilion, Exmouth on Fri
14th Sep 2012
'Who's That Girl' performed here at Exmouth Pavilion on September 14th with Lorna Bryant heading the production as a very close look-a-like to Annie Lennox and when the show started, you'd have been forgiven for thinking it was Annie, herself, on stage in front of you!
Lorna's performance was confident, well rehearsed, slick, and fun. The three backing singers were a little nervous to begin with, but soon got into the swing of things and, with solid performances of their own adding a great dimension to the show, as well as being a great support to Lorna. Together they belted out hits such as "Walking On Broken Glass", "Here Comes The Rain Again", and "Sisters" and wooed us with "Why", "No More I love You's", and of course, "Who's That Girl". The band, led by Steve looked great, and sounded amazing! Every last detail was thoughtfully practised and performed, bringing the whole production together with confidence, ease and class! The show was performed in aid of OXFAM and with this in mind individual characters were projected throughout the performance, which by the end of the evening spelt out the OXFAM logo. Fittingly, some of the Oxfam helpers came up onstage to sing the last song of the show, "I Saved The World Today".
It was a very well thought out and performed production. Lorna and Steve should be very proud of themselves as should everyone who played their part in making it such a success. Thanks to you all for bringing us a great show!
